Lampwork glass beads hand crafted in the green mountains of Vermont, where nature’s beauty meets fantasy’s timeless magic.

Wear the magic…
one bead at a time.

Welcome!

I’ve been a lover and collector of many forms of art since I was a child.

I spent ten plus years writing fantasy and sci fi novels and for almost twenty years I was a very enthusiastic basket weaver; using a variety of mediums. I created and sold pen and ink pet portraits, baskets, and books at local farm markets and craftshows.

A little over a year ago I was introduced to the wonderful world of glass art beads and sought out in-person classes as well as online classes and tutorials to get me started behind the torch.

I’m so gad you’re here.

The Process

Kathy’s creative process is a delicate balance between technique and artistry, beginning with the slow, meticulous work of guiding the molten glass into place. Using an oxygen and propane torch, she forms each bead by hand, patiently applying layers of color. Her use of silver glass—glass rods containing silver and other precious metals that react to heat and oxygen–create depth and complexity and produce stunning visual effects. The interaction between the flame and the silver glass lead to unpredictable results, making each piece a one of a kind creation.

Once the beads are formed, they are placed in a kiln for annealing. This crucial step eliminates any internal stress from the glass, ensuring durability and stability. After cooling, the beads are ready to be incorporated into jewelry. She carefully selects the setting to complement and enhance the beauty of the beads. The result is not just jewelry, but wearable art that reflects her skill and attention to detail.
